The changing nature of work in care sectors

Care work is of major public concern and a growing area of interest in academia. How we manage the tensions of caring for an increasingly ageing population, young children and those with disabilities, in both practice and research, has become a major dilemma in all spheres of society. Care workers, however, are often left out of the picture in spite of their important role in delivering care. This workshop will bring together scholars, care practitioners, and the public to explore the changing nature of care work will be of major importance for policy and practice.
